The Mother Of All ACes. At sunset on January 28, 2021, EMDX 70 (SD70ACe), 9501 (SD60MAC), and 91 (SD90MAC-H) sit at the Progress Rail/EMD LaGrange facility in McCook, Illinois. When 70 was built in 4/2003, it was the first of the ACes that replaced the SD70MAC in EMD's offerings, and its variants are still manufactured today.
