This train of junk freight didn’t have a prayer, maximum tonnage, minimum power, then on the downgrade their one AC, a DPU, blew an engine. Maximum grades ahead. Setting brakes, moving all power to the head, putting the train back together, releasing brakes, getting other power to come get part of the train takes time. By the time the last part of the train departed approximately 10 hours had elapsed. Luckily there was a handy spur at a local builders.
