For some time Amtrak's San Francisco Zephyr, Nos. 5 and 6, made a stop in Cheyenne, WY on their route between Denver and Ogden. This necessitated a runaround move at Cheyenne, as the trains came into town from the west and had to depart in the same direction - the route to Denver joining the mainline west of town. The two passenger trains arrived in Cheyenne during the afternoon and it was always a closely supervised affair to ensure the trains were not delayed (this was a long time ago). One of the two trains has arrived and the power will soon cut away and run around the consist. Date approximate
