      Remarks & Notes
What a surprise. I had traveled to the old B&O following a CSX train when I saw this. A 1943 built BLW VO-1000. Built originally for the ACL it has served most of its life for the U.S. Navy. The Madison Railroad has painted the locomotive honoring the men and women who have served the Navy. Pretty neat to see a 78 year locomotive still serving. From what I understand they have one for the Army too.
