      Remarks & Notes
A westbound Amtrak Keystone train arrives at the Downingtown station located along the former Pennsy's once 4 tracked Harrisburg to Philly mainline.

At one time, in fact, there were five tracks through the station. A beautiful station built by the PRR in 1892 once stood here, as seen here in a series of historic photos. Sadly, the station was destroyed by fire in the early morning of February 24, 1992.

Despite its small footprint, the "station", oddly, serves most Amtrak Keystone trains, though, primarily serves commuters on SEPTA's Paoli/Thorndale Line. Until November 7, 2011 one Sunday eastbound Amtrak Pennsylvanian train stopped here.
