A four-engine set of Union Pacific diesels pass the UP’s 4th Street Yard, head north on Metrolink’s River Subdivision East Bank Line as they run along the Los Angeles River to the UP’s East Yard (in Commerce) to the LATC intermodal facility, just across the LA River from Union Station. UP ES44AC 5494, SD70ACe 8996, ES44AC 7890 and AC4400CW 5944 will pick up an intermodal train there, and then head east. The replacement 6th Street Viaduct is under construction in the background.
