Once again an SCL locomotive fronts Amtrak's Floridian. This time, though, it is not due to the failure of one of the antique inherited E-units. Instead, SCL 1823 was added after the lead unit was damaged in a grade crossing accident leaving Jacksonville. I am guessing that event is the topic of conversation between the two crew members standing in front of 1823.
