After a long hike in, and a seemingly endless work window, trains finally flooded the tracks through Wendover Canyon between Wendover and Cassa, Wyoming, on the afternoon of July 8, 1994. Finding track time between the constant Burlington Northern coal and freight trains was a lowly BN ballast train headed west along the North Platte River.
