| Westbound BNSF 4459 is cresting the grade out of the Rio Grande River valley from Belen at Dalies, NM. The old main line via Raton and Albuquerque joins the Transcon here. Once upon a time, beautiful cantilever and searchlight signals populated Santa Fe lines from Illinois to California. How attractive they were, versus the bland traffic lights now prevalent. |
