| Cogwheel railcar Deh 4/4 # 23 "Randa" of the Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn (MGBahn) is pulling the push-pull regional train R 331 from Visp to Zermatt near Neubrück, between Visp and Ackersand. The railcar with aluminium body was built in 1976 by SLM, SIG and SAAS for the Brig-Visp-Zermatt-Bahn (BVZ). 1094 kW maximum velocity 65 km/h (35 km/h on cogwheel sections). In the background the 3934 meter high Bietschorn, north of the Rhone valley. The chapel "Niwu Briggu" (new bridge) dates from 1727, the stone arch bridge "Rittibrigga" over the Vispe from 1599. |
