Beep: For several years, Norfolk Southern's one-of-a-kind battery locomotive - BP4 #999 - lingered sadly at the shops in downtown Roanoke. Apparently, it had suffered significant damage to its electrical system after experiencing a water leak, and repair was deemed impractical. Not sure what ended up happening to it.
