Anniversary Delivery. On Tuesday, August 24, 2021, Amtrak 50th Anniversary engines 100 (Midnight Blue) and 108 (Phase VI) were the power for Norfolk Southern Corp Train 099/Amtrak 926 from Elmira to Albany-Rensselaer, NY. The trip was to deliver Viewliner II Sleepers 62523 (Wabash River) 62524 (Westfield River) from the CAF Factory where they were manufactured. These 2 cars represent the final delivery of the 130 car order and a new generation of long distance cars for Amtrak trains. The train is seen skirting the shoreline of Seward Lake in Schenevus, NY on the former Delaware and Hudson Railway.
