Dropping downgrade through Jansen, CO, Amtrak's eastbound Southwest Chief parallels the second roadbed of the Colorado & Wyoming Railroad line after the originally was forced to be abandoned as the US Corp of Engineers built a dam west of Trinidad that created Trinidad Lake. |
