| CSXT 3203 and 835 are greeted by a pair of happy jack-o-lanterns as they bring a loaded coal train to a stop in Connellsville. The story behind the pumpkins is, I got onto the other side of this abandoned N&W-P&WV bridge and came across two freshly carved pumpkins sitting on a bridge beam. So I knew I had two ready-made photo props, and I carried the pumpkins to the other end of this bridge and hoped a train would come. It was a one and done deal because this train stopped on Track 2 most of the day. So thanks to whoever left the pumpkins on the bridge! As a side note, coal trains now very rarely take this route through Connellsville. It is a sign of the times. |
