Remarks & Notes

Tucked inside the Canadian National’s Woodcrest Locomotive Shop and receiving some care is Illinois Central GP38-2 9561. Built by EMD in April 1972, this engine was originally Gulf Mobile & Ohio 741, and then became Illinois Central Gulf 9561. (Homewood, Illinois – September 26, 2021). Photgraphed on railroad property with permission, full PPE and Covid protection.
