Helpers on EL 3623 East move across Starucca viaduct on an October morning. Behind the ex-DL&W caboose, lead helper 7094 is a former Erie unit, while the 8454, second out, is former DL&W - both of late 1940s vintage. A westbound is also on the viaduct and the rear brakeman of the eastbound is dutifully observing from his cupola outpost as my father watches the action from beside the old D&H Pennsylvania Division trackage. Scanned from a print.
