| A reconditioned GE prime mover sits on the floor of the Beech Grove shops, with the 709 in the background. This facility was built in 1904, and has a fantastic charm to it. While still cranking out locomotives, it's amazing to think of the advances and changes since these shops were erected. If the original employees working these shops could come back from the dead they might not even recognize what this is. |
