By the banks of the Snake River, UP 5285 West comes through the curves approaching Glenns Ferry, ID. The town was once a division point, with significant grades on either side of town requiring helpers on much traffic. But that was long ago now, and crews run-through from Pocatello to Nampa. Distributed power has eliminated any need for manned helpers. This outfit has two mid-train units in addition to its three leaders.
