| An eastbound departs Fremont, NE on its way to Chicago one autumn afternoon. Power in color schemes from the merged railroads was prevalent - in this case a pair of Rio Grande units - an SD40T-2 and GP40. The tunnel motors seldom reached eastern Nebraska owing to the dearth of tunnels in the region, but they always looked good. |
