| On Top of the World Cumbres & Toltec 487 has completed its climb to 10,022-ft Cumbres Pass. After a brief stop, the train will depart for Osier. Highway 17 is in the foreground; you can clearly see where the old highway crossed under the tracks on the left side of the photo. Note that the current "depot" at Cumbres is actually the D&RGW section house. The actual Cumbres depot was razed when Highway 17 was relocated; it stood to the right of the road crossing. |
