Entering Illinois from Kentucky, a Union Pacific passenger train led by three freshly-rebuilt E9 A-B-A cab units, crosses the enormous Illinois Central bridge over the Ohio River at Metropolis on April 26, 1993. UP had the locomotives rebuilt at the nearby Paducah Shops and they are now working back home.
