Looking like something straight out of a time machine, a pair of Alco switchers in matched paint and trademark Alco smoke exit the South Portal of Burton Tunnel on the former Southern Railway French Lick Branch near Norton, Indiana.
This event was part of a photo freight charter operated by the French Lick Scenic Railway and their sister freight operation, the Dubois County Railroad, in December of 2020.
