On a raw late winter afternoon on the plains, CNW 8649 brings a westbound double-stack train through Lodgepole, NE with a GP60 and SD60M trailing. A combination of CNW, SP and UP locomotives was common in this early post-merger period, although it would have been nice to see a D&RGW unit in the set. Ektachrome.
