    Remarks & Notes
Santa Maria Valley Railroad 205, a 1924-built product of the Baldwin Locomotive Works, gleams in the rare, winter sunlight near Liberty, Oregon as it hustles a four-car train south. Enjoying a new lease on life following an extensive restoration by George Lavacot, the 205 looks to have an extremely bright future running on the tracks of the Albany & Eastern Railroad, which purchased the locomotive earlier this year.
