When the "Farewell To The R-32s" excursions were announced, NYC subway fans had hoped that they would again have to opportunity to see the famous "blue doors" restored that had accented the stainless steel appearance prior to General Overhaul. For the last 3 decades, the only way to "see" it debuted in 2001 when MTH Trains produced an O scale model. On January 2, 2022, R-32 3360 sits in the 2 Avenue Station with 1:48 scale model 3853 in the foreground.
