Remarks & Notes

With 4 passenger cars (about 160 tons) on the drawbar the "Elephant" C 5/6 # 2978 of SBB Historic is storming up the Areuse gorge (2.1 % grade). The train to Fleurier in the Travers valley is just leaving the 55 m short La Loge tunnel, about 2 km below Champ-du-Moulin.
