Older Than You Think. On August 3, 2014, Budd R-32 3446 leads a 10 car train on the A Line towards the 207th Street Station in Manhattan, as seen at the Howard Beach-JFK Station. What is ironic about this is that the train before was a "Nostalgia Special" to the Rockaway making a few short turn trips for those that did not wish to visit the beach, and 60% of the consist was newer than these cars even then. The "Farewell To The R-32s" final run will be on January 9, 2022. making 58 years of service for these Red Lion Plant, Philadelphia, PA graduates.
