Running as NS 937, the Norfolk Southern’s OAR special, a specialty train that at select cities throughout the year is used to train first responders on how to respond to a train accident, heads south to Atlanta, GA at a place called “Green” on the timetable. The specialty-painted GP38-2 that accompanies this train leads the OAR special to the final site of training exercises for the year in Atlanta that week before it eventually heads back north to Altoona, PA for winter storage.
