I highly recommend Hill 582 to anyone who has never been there. The locals have put an amazing effort into the evolution of this location. Although I will freely admit Cajon Pass is not a place I would photograph trains by myself at night, in the day time it is an amazing display of steel horses and the things they haul.
Entire mixed freights covered in Krylon are par for the course. A few days after this I watched a lady in Toledo Oregon stare at a similar boxcar. Compelled, I remarked, "Don't worry, no one else can read what it says either". Her response, "I think its art".
