Hitting the Road: Tyburn Railroad GE 44-tonner No. 400 exits the Tyburn Railroad's Morrisville, PA yard for the last time and begins its road trip to Northern New Jersey on January 25, 2022.
The Tri-State Railway Historical Society has acquired the unit, which began its career as Hoboken Manufacturers Railroad No. 700. Tri-State will be restoring the unit to its historic paint scheme. Tri-State is partnering with Operation Toy Train of New York, which acquired an ex-Middletown & New Jersey Railroad 44-tonner, to raise funds to restore their respective units: an initiative known as "Operation 88."
