BNSF Railway ES44AC 6017 is one of ten locomotives painted in a special scheme to celebrate BNSF's 25th Anniversary, featuring logos from the various railroads that make up the history of the railway. The engine was teamed with another Anniversary engine, 6163, to lead a 13-car Officer Special (BNSF O-THCBAR9-01A) from Thenard, near the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, to Barstow.
