MILW 68C waits to go on duty at the boutique sized Eau Claire yard. In May 1973 the Milwaukee was detouring to Eau Claire from St. Paul via C&NW due to flooding and deteriorating track on their branchline from Trevino, WI. Historically the train operated to/from Winona, MN. Soon the detour would become permanent trackage rights until Milwaukee's demise. F units were not allowed on their branch trackage.
