Remarks & Notes

Two year old Burlington Northern was starting to build its own identity in motive power with the acquisition of SD40-2s of which they would acquire the largest roster in the US. This consist shows the transition with BN 6327 and 3600 HP BN 6632, from the last group of F45s. No more SD45/F45s would by acquired. This train has just arrived in Northtown from the west and will be reclassified at BN's new hump. Northtown had been NP's main yard for Minneapolis.
