    Remarks & Notes
Milwaukee Road 5056 sits along the Milwaukee, WI harbor awaiting an uncertain future in November 1991. The U25B was built in July 1965, in the later carbody style that featured a split windshield rather than the original single piece picture window above the nose. Earliest U28Bs would also look like this. Fortunately the locomotive is now at home at the Illinois RR. Museum and will some day be at least cosmetically restored if not operable.
