Winter At Collins. On Sunday, February 13, 2022, a few inches of snow fell in the morning, creating a nice winter effect to break up the otherwise dreaded fifth season of sticks. NJ TRANSIT 4120 (F40PH-2CAT) was leading Train 1871 as it passed through "Collins Curve" on the approach to the Waldwick, New Jersey station. As more ALP45-DPs arrive on the property, it is hard to predict which of NJT's locomotives will be retired. But with only 2 of these F40s on the roster, there is no time like the present to capture some images of these veteran EMDs.
