SOO SD40-2 786 leads SD40 747 and U30C 802 at Irvine Yard, Chippewa Falls, WI. With switching completed it will soon depart with its priority freight to Shoreham Yard, Minneapolis. SOO was a partner with CP and handled a good amount of traffic to/from western connections at Portal, ND and Noyes, MN and Chicago. This line would be spun off to Wiconsin Central in 1987 and is now owned by CN. SOO itself is now part of CP's system using the former MILW between St. Paul & Chicago for this traffic.
