| A UP trio of road power sits near a wye at Altoona Yard awaiting their next assignment while a pair of SD40-2s handles switching at the east end of the yard. That's a far cry from the days when C&NW owned the yard and for many years handled switching with !000HP Alco S-2s. But then C&NW did not run 15000 ft. land barges like UP has been doing. |
