| Making New Friends.
New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R47 locomotive no. 70 (GE, 1975) sits on the front of a "power pack" as locomotive 890 makes the first connection with the first set of new R211 cars. Plenty of NYCTA personnel were on site to assist with the operation and make sure the delivery went smoothly.
This set is the first set of cars, built by Kawasaki at their plant in Lincoln, NE. |
