| United States Sugar Corporation 311 is seen leading a train from the cane fields back to the mill In Clewiston. The train is crossing the Miami Canal at Lake Harbor. The GP11 locomotive was built as a GP9 for the Illinois Central in January of 1957 as IC 9214. The Miami Canal drains Lake Okeechobee all the way down to the coast at Miami, hydrating dozens of sugar fields along the way. |
