Remarks & Notes

The engineer for Amtrak's North Coast Hiawatha checks things over as the train loads passengers at Minneapolis. At start up, Amtrak chose to make one stop in the Twin Cities and decided on Minneapolis, using the BN station.By the mid-70s they had built a new station in the Midway district, and now use St. Paul Union Depot, which they probably should have used from the start. Former MILW E9s were common between Minneapolis & Chicago on this train.
