| On a warm March day, NS H76 heads west back to Allentown Yard on Norfolk Southern Lehigh Line Track #1 after serving Manville Yard. Behind the leader is NS 6972 (SD60E). The rear end NS 20K can be seen in the distance on Track #2. The leader was originally built as a GP38 for Penn Central as PC 7870, which went to Conrail as CR 7870, and then to Norfolk Southern as NS 2924. It was rebuilt into a GP38-2 as NS 5652 by Norfolk Southern in July of 2006. The trailing unit was rebuilt from SD60 NS 6605 in January of 2015. |
