| The EJ&E 657 had a 10am checkup appointment with the Hulcher Doctor today in Waterloo. 5 new traction motors will be installed under the old girl due to some of the wheels being hit by the wheel impact detector. Waterloo Roundhouse doesn't have facilities to lift units, so the CN has Hulcher shows up and do it. Here the group works on getting the traction motor #4 in the rear truck as the Cedar River boys are inbound into Waterloo off the Osage Sub. I watched these guys work for about 3 hours while I switched out my inbound 337 train. They are a gifted group.
