Remarks & Notes

BN 5617 and 5663 pair up with some X-NP F9s at BN's former GN Harrison St. engine facilities in March 1974. BN 5617 was NP 2517, built in June 1965 and retired in March 1981. BN 5663 was CB&Q 575, built in April 1966 and retired in June 1981. The early U28Cs on NP and CB&Q were delivered in U25C carbodies, but had split front windshields rather than the picture window seen on BN 5617.
