| A Memphis to LA Z-train works west on the BNSF Cherokee Sub east of Neosho. The train is playing tag with Shoal Creek as the railroad crosses it many times west of Berwick. A permanent speed restriction of 45 mph is in place thru this area for all the curves. The Cherokee Sub runs from Springfield, MO, to Tulsa, OK. A lot of southeast traffic uses the route to cut over to the BNSF Transcon main for a route to California. |
