| CF&E 3316, the railroad’s SD40T-2, takes CHFW across the CN Matteson Sub at Ivanhoe in Gary. The diamond is still guarded by NYC type signals on the IHB and CSX trackage. This is also the location of the 1918 Hammond Circus Train Wreck, where a Michigan Central troop train rear-ended a circus train that was stopped on the main. |
