    Remarks & Notes
The sun has just cracked the horizon on the morning of September 20, 2007, as San Luis & Rio Grande’s former Southern Pacific 2-6-0 No. 1744 works toward La Veta Pass east of Alamosa, Colorado. The city of Alamosa is in the shadows down below in the San Luis Valley as this special photo freight heads eastbound at milepost 245.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
