India’s most powerful goods train locomotive till date - WAG-12B
WAG-12B is India's most powerful goods train locomotive as of 2022. These 12000 HP locomotives are capable of hauling 6,000 tonnes at a top speed of 120 kms/hr. French Company Alstom in collaboration with Indian Railways, produce these Prima T8 base designed locomotives in one of India’s largest integrated greenfield manufacturing facilities at Madhepura, Bihar.
