The History Channel Sign Is History. For Clear Channel Outdoor's next 5 year lease period atop 20 Bruckner Boulevard, the Uber Era has begun. This building was once owned by Jacob Ruppert (who also owned the New York Yankees), and the sign has now carried a small handful of names in that time, including Ruppert Beer (1936 to 1952), Knickerbocker Beer, City Services Gasoline, Newport Cigarettes, TheHistory Channel, and iHeartRadio Media. On Tuesday, May 24, 2022, CSX Q704-24 was in the process of making up its train when CSXT 476 (AC44CW, GE, 9/2000) passed under this iconic sign at the crossing near Lincoln Avenue in the Port Morris neighborhood of the Bronx, New York.
