Remarks & Notes

BNSF Railway train L-CAL0611-12 (the Barstow to Boron and back local) backs into the US Borax plant in Boron CA. Power for today's train is BNSF GP39-2R 2823 (originally CB&Q GP30 940) and 1575 and 1574 (a pair of former Santa Fe SD45-2s: 5678 and 5670). I’ve got to admit that I’ve never had an engineer wave so enthusiastically! But, then again, I knew him. (Boron, California – March 12, 2010)
