One of the more unusual Susquehanna lash ups occurred when two Northern Division trains combined at Chenango Forks, New York. A southbound train on the Jamesville line, led by a former Adirondack Railway RS3 still in Adiondack’s green scheme, was outlawed at Chenango Forks. A former Maryland & Delaware C420 arrived on the Utica line, cut off its train, and pulled the Jamesville train south of the junction of the two lines. Here the train has just backed onto the Utica cars. When the brakeman in the distance walks back to the power, the combined trains will run to Binghamton.
